I very much like the concept and the colours of this piece. The eye gets drawn in thanks to the bridge's lines traveling backwards and disappearing in the well placed white light (at the end of the 'tunnel'?).
I think the title is a good choice and gives a much more important emphasis on the figure who appears to be watching over whoever is walking up to it. Having the more interesting/important parts of the picture above the middle of the picture helps underline the 'protector' part of the figure, and helps the viewer look up to it, essentially making them the 'travelers'.
Although I quite enjoy the messy/crowded effect you have going on, it appears to me you overlayed multiple photos to get this effect, which causes some parts of the photo to be see-through. The overlay function is a little overused in photomanipulation (I often use it, too, it's so easy to get interesting effects) and I think the picture would have benefited if you had taken the time to accentuate certain parts of the picture and made sure all the beams and such of the bridge were in full opacity without them appearing a bit see-through.
The way you cropped the picture gives me the impression that there's a part 'missing' above the figure, and this could be remedied by adding some negative black space (not much, but a little) above it. I think if you did this it would better conform to the rule of thirds, which (although people have very different opinions about it) does a lot to help with a general 'pleasing for the eye' effect. All in all, I really like this artwork, keep it up.
